Who we are
The Lane Cove Cockatoos Wheelchair Basketball Club is based at Galuwa Recreation Centre in Lane Cove and operates with the support of Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT.
Founded in 2025 by Paralympian and coach Gerry Hewson, the club is building a strong and inclusive program for players of all ages, skill levels and abilities.

First-time players and experienced athletes

When Can I Play?
Training - Every Tuesday
Juniors (5–10 yrs)
4:45pm – 5:30pm
Youths & Adults
5:30pm – 7:30pm

Local and regional tournaments
Whether you want to train socially, stay active, or pursue competition, there’s a place for all experience levels within the Cockatoos program.
